The Student Council President is the No. 1 Host (生徒会長は No.1 ホスト, Seito Kaichō wa No.1 Hosuto?) or shortened to "SeiHosu" (生ホス) in Japanese and "PrezHost" in English, is a manga with anime and live action adaptations which features Rei Kogami, a character who Marin cosplays during their school cultural festival.
After the shojo manga smash hit sold over 10 million copies, it got a live-action adaptation which is well-known to have featured numerous popular and handsome actors. In the said live-action drama and movie, Rei Kogami is portrayed by the popular actress MICO.
Despite being a shojo manga, it is also popular among guys as demonstrated by Wakana and Marin's male classmates who said that they enjoyed watching the hit TV series. Murakami, in particular, was initially embarrassed to admit his enjoyment of the series, but he confessed that he cried while watching it with his sister, especially during the famous Bento Scene.
Background[]
PrezHost is about a student council president named Rei Kogami who pretends to be a boy so she could work as a host. Her brother works as a host to support their family. One day, he leaves something he needs for work at home. When Rei takes it to him at the club, they were short-handed, so she starts working there part-time, too. When it is found out that she is actually not a guy, her clients stand up for her as she is able to win their hearts. They continue their patronage of her services despite them knowing that she is a girl.
The series' most popular scene is the "Bento Scene." Marin recreates Rei's costume in that scene, winning her first prize during their school's cultural festival's beauty pageant.
