Shion Nikaido (二 (に) 階 (かい) 堂 (どう) シオン, Nikaidō Shion^?) is a fictional character from Flower Princess Blaze.

Appearance

Shion has short blue hair and a sailor suit in her normal form. In her magical girl form, she wears a purple and white dress with purple hair and lilies in them. In her Black Lily form she wears a black dress with cloak along with black hair.

Plot

Shion is introduced as a character of an anime later to be revealed as Flower Princess Blaze.

Relationships

Neon Nikaido

Shion cares for her sister and is distraught when she learns that she's the enemy.

Mirai Tengeji

Mirai is a friend os Shion's although they fight occassionally.

Etymology

• The name Shion is written in katakana (シオン), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (紫苑 or 詩音), it could possibly mean:
  • 紫苑 - "aster".
  • 詩音 - "poetry, poem" (詩) (shi) and "sound" (音) (on).
• Shion's surname Nikaido means "upstairs, two-storied" (二階) (nikai) and "hall" (堂) (do).
  • Nikaido is a name of a clan of Japanese samurai that ruled the Iwase District of Mutsu Province during the Sengoku period during the Kamakura era. The founder was Nikaido Yukimasa and they lived in the Sukagawa Castle.
