The Flower Princess Blaze Arc is the second story arc in My Dress-Up Darling.

Wakana and Marin make it through their very first cosplay event, and not long after, Marin's heart undergoes a change...?! But that's not going to stop her cosplaying! To research their next project, the duo decide to watch the anime it's based on...but on screening night, they wind up alone together...?! And with JuJu, another gorgeous cosplayer, dropping by Wakana's house...it seems like a love triangle is abrew!

Summary

After Marin and Kaoru were introduced, Marin spent some time with the Gojos. While watching Wakana and Kaoru talk about the costume's details, Marin realized that she had fallen in love with Wakana.

A few days later, a popular cosplayer by the name of Juju found her way to Wakana Gojo's home. She had seen Marin's social media posts as Shizuku Kuroe and immediately fell in love with the costume. She "stalked" Wakana from the cosplay event they attended to his home. After an embarrassing encounter, Juju "blackmailed" Wakana into making her Shion Nikaido costume. Marin asked to join her as the latter wanted to also cosplay Neon Nikaido, Shion's sister in the anime series. After they agreed to split studio costs, Juju, whose real name is Sajuna, relented and allowed Marin to cosplay with her. In preparation for making the costumes, Wakana went to Marin's home to watch the series with her.

The group met with Shinju, Sajuna's sister who also acts as her photographer. Shinju taught Wakana and Marin the basics of using a camera. After seeing higher quality in pictures taken, as well as the different effects that could be done with the camera, Marin decided to buy one after she saved enough money.

Sometime later, the group went to inspect the studio where they planned to take their cosplay photos. It was an abandoned hospital which left Sajuna feeling terrified. While Wakana tried to see if she was okay, they talked about how Marin's Shizuku costume made Sajuna feel. According to her, it was like she fell in love at first sight, which made Wakana extremely happy.

After the venue inspection and the group headed to the train station. Shiju asked her sister if she could stay so she could look at the shops at the station. Sajuna headed home and Marin also went ahead to meet with her friends. However, Wakana stayed to confirm his suspicion that Shinju actually wanted to cosplay. Shinju revealed that she wanted to cosplay as Soma Tengeji, a male character of the Flower Princess Blaze anime. Wakana promised to help her, so they went to Wakana's home to figure out the costume details.

At Wakana's house, Wakana decided to lend Shiju his school uniform since it was similar to the character's uniform. They also figured out a way to make Shinju's figure more masculine and flatten her chest using a B-holder.

A few days later, Wakana and Marin's exams were finally over so they went to the beach to unwind. Summer break had officially started and the two started working on the Blaze costumes.

On the day of the photoshoot, Shiju appeared in front of Sajuna and Marin, surprising them at how great she looked. The two gushed over her cosplay which made her tear up in happiness.

Right before the photoshoot was about to end, Sajuna expressed her gratitude to Wakana for what he did for Shinju. Under her breath, she thanked Wakana for always treating what's precious to her with the greatest care and whispered that he was wonderful.

The following day, Wakana and Marin were on the phone talking about the photos they just received from Shinju from the photoshoot. When Marin asked Wakana when he did Shinju's costume, Wakana shared that he and Shinju went to his house to prepare and plan for the cosplay. After learning that Wakana and Shinju spent some time alone in his room, Marin silently brooded with jealousy.
