This is the ninety-fourth chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
It is Christmas Eve and Marin is at her favorite salon. She has her nails done and hair did by Manabu and Hikaru. She tells them that since Wakana found the fabric he was looking for, they can spend some time together. She tells them that she plans on cooking for the Gojo's that evening.
After her appointment, she hurries to the grocery to shop for ingredients for the Christmas dinner. She initially plans on making a cheese hamburger steak and a creamy stew but changes her mind and decides on making something Wakana's grandfather would prefer.
In the Gojo residence, Marin prepares a pork and yellowtail shabu shabu (hot pot). Kaoru wonders why she prepared such a luxurious dinner. She tells him that it's because it's Christmas. He informs her that they didn't really celebrate Christmas which leaves Marin low-spirited since it meant that Wakana didn't view today as a special occasion.
Wakana is at the table, but he is in a daze. He barely eats anything and rambles about the Haniel costume and how it didn't turn out the way he imagined it. Marin tells him that the costume looked great when she saw it, but Wakana is dissatisfied with how it came out. She tries to convince him to finish his food or he'd be exhausted otherwise. However, he stands up and thanks her for the meal so he can continue working on the costume.
Marin trembles in annoyance and fumes while she eats. Kaoru explains to her that the costume is all Wakana has been thinking about. He adds that people who craft things will always strive to recreate the perfect image in their heads and will never be fully satisfied. For this reason, Kaoru asks her to make sure to praise Wakana's work. Marin assures him that she has always loved everything that Wakana makes. Hearing this, Kaoru tells her that he's glad that Wakana has her.
After the Christmas dinner, Marin leaves Wakana a note saying that she put the leftovers in the refrigerator, so he better eat it all.
