This is the ninety-third chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Wakana has been working tirelessly to complete the Haniel costume. However, he is unable to find the right fabric for the haori, which is part of the costume. Marin informs him via chat that she's been in contact with her stylist in hopes of finding the right fabric. She tries to cheer him up by saying that sometimes when you're looking for something, that's when you just can't find it.
However, Wakana thinks that the fault is with him. He wallows in self-pity for being unable to come up with an idea to finish the costume. He realizes that he is lacking. He compares himself to Miyako and Akira who use their experience in making their cosplays. He, on the other hand, directed his full attention to making hina dolls so his experience is limited and thus he is unable to draw from his experience in coming up with solutions. He finally understands his grandfather's words that in order to become a great doll maker, he needs to look at more than just dolls.
His self-confidence nosedives and he even goes as far as feeling disgusted and ashamed of himself for not caring to learn anything else but dolls in the past. He takes a bath to clear his head and resolves to figure something out instead of wallowing.
After his bath, he looks at the hina dolls in their shop reflecting on how he never looked at anything else before. He admires the dolls when suddenly something comes to him. He hurries to his computer and continues his research, with his past experience with hina dolls in mind. After some research, he finally finds the right fabric for the Haniel costume. He decides to use an antique kimono for the haori.
