Summary[]
While gathering materials for the Haniel cosplay, Wakana decides to buy another copy of Volume 13 of Mandate of Heaven so he can cut out the pages he'll use as references. However, in every store he goes to, the book is out of stock. Even the stocks online are sold out.
Wakana and Marin meet again and they talk about Mandate of Heaven. Wakana shares that Akira thinks that the main character of the manga will probably die because apparently, the author, Tokio Shiba, likes that kind of plot development. Wakana says that he thinks the author is planning on something to break the readers' expectations and change the status quo.
They continue to talk about the plot until Marin asks if Wakana still hasn't bought any fabric for the costume yet. He says that he couldn't find the right one he had in mind, so Marin offers to find the fabric for him so he can work on the props in the meantime. She says that she can ask her stylist from the magazine since they're professionals and might know of store they haven't heard of before. Wakana gladly accepts Marin's help.
Shortly, Marin brings up what Suzuka says about making sure to wear something warm to Winter Comiket. She takes Wakana shopping, and they buy a padded jacket for Wakana to wear at the Comiket. When Wakana walks out of the fitting room, she gushes at how cool he looks and how she wants him to wear it for the rest of his life. The salesperson comments on how well the jacket fits Wakana and how good it looks on him. However, Wakana stays silent and looks gloomy because he feels uncomfortable wearing his new jacket.
As they're walking home, Wakana asks if he can take off the jacket, but Marin tells him that he needs to wear it as practice, all the while still gushing at how it looks so good on him. They run into Murakami who compliments Wakana on his new clothes, but he notices that Wakana looks like he's dying. Marin explains that Wakana's uncomfortable since he's not used to wearing it. Wakana says that he thinks his new clothes make him look weird. However, Murakami begs to differ, adding that Wakana actually looks good. Wakana insists that clothes such as the ones he's wearing only look good on guys like Murakami because they're cool, unlike himself.
Without commenting on what Wakana says, Murakami offers to buy Wakana some ramen. The three of them go to an iekei ramen place. Marin complains that she won't be able to eat iekei since she's on a diet. As Wakana is choosing from the menu, Murakami tells Marin that she can go home, instead of coming along, especially since he's not planning on paying for her too. After some bickering, Marin decides to stay and eat some ramen with them.
