This is the seventh chapter of the eleventh volume and the eighty-sixth chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Suzuka and Miyako apologize to Marin for Akira's hardcore fanatic behavior, but Marin assures them that she doesn't mind. Elsewhere, Shinju is with Akira, trying to comfort her as the latter is in tears for having been acknowledged by Marin, her "Princess."
Marin tells them that she's so happy to have been worried over nothing. She had previously thought that Akira hated her and is just relieved that wasn't the case.
Their conversation arrives at how Sajuna is bad with horror and how she never told her sister about it. Sajuna explains that since her sister is very sweet, had she found out that Sajuna hated it, Shinju would have tried to hide her love for the genre just to be considerate. Sajuna adds that just because she hates horror, doesn't mean that she wants to stop her sister from enjoying it.
Chistose tells everyone how much fun he had during their meetup and how it was such a great way to wrap up the year. Suzuka asks them if they were planning on cosplaying during the Winter Comiket. The Winter Comiket is held on Obon and New Year's Eve at the Tokyo Big Site in Odaiba. It is the world's biggest doujinshi market. Marin, Chitose, and Wakana agree to go, while Sajuna declines to join them. Miyako suggests that they wear ready-made costumes and meet up as well, since they're all planning on going.
Wakana tells Marin that he's been having so much fun making cosplay props and asks her if there was something she wanted to see made. She tells him that she would absolutely love to see Haniel. After Miyako briefly gives a synopsis of Mandate of Heaven, the manga where Haniel is from, Marin shares how she got into the manga. She remembers back in middle school when she looked at the manga cover and saw the most beautiful girl she had ever seen.
As everyone else was having a discussion about Mandate of Heaven, Wakana searches for the image of volume cover online. Miyako wonders if there are any ready-made costumes for Haniel, but Wakana tells her that there was no need to buy one since he is planning on making it. He tells everyone that he won't be joining the afterparty because he plans on going to a nearby bookstore to buy all the books and start reading right away.
Marin panics because she had already planned on confessing to Wakana right after their meetup. She tries to stop him, stating that there was something she needed to tell him. However, Wakana doesn't seem to hear her, as he is too absorbed with the image of Haniel, the angel. He tells her that with this costume they will be going to Comiket.
