This is the first chapter of the second volume and the eighth chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Wakana panics over having to make an outfit in two weeks. He returns home with his grandfather checking up on him. Kaoru is happy that his grandson went out with a friend but is surprised when he sees stockings fall out of the bag. He then faints.
Wakana waits at the hospital when his cousin, Miori, comes by. She's relieved when she hears that Kaoru is okay and that he's getting a compress. The doctors give him painkillers as he leaves the room. Miori said that her father allows Kaoru to stay at his place for two weeks while he heals. Wakana promises to get a change of clothes as Kaoru asks for his brush as well.
Wakana tells Marin what happened and she hopes that he gets well too. Marin asks if she can help with housework. Wakana declines but is happy for the offer. He does exchange contact info with her. Wakana hopes he can get started on the outfit as Marin complains about exams. Wakana freaks out again as Marin mentions that she got the wig cut. She asks if Wakana is okay but he says he fine while thinking that he's in trouble.
Later he gets a phone call asking about a workshop tour tomorrow. Wakana mentions that the workshop is going to be closed for two weeks but the caller complains that her friend, who's an exchange student, has to return the day after tomorrow. Wakana is wracked by guilt and agrees to the tour the following day and begins freaking out after hanging up.
A few days later, Marin checks up on Wakana from outside. She notices the lights are off and guesses that he went to check on his grandfather. She remembers how pale Wakana's face has been the last few days. It turned out that Wakana was lying on the ground in a messy house
