This is the fifth chapter of the tenth volume and the seventy-sixth chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Marin starts to wallow in sadness after Wakana leaves. She despairs when she realizes that she got her hopes up over a complete misunderstanding. She had thought that after that night, they could really start going out. She had planned to confess her feelings and tell Wakana that they should start dating. She remembers the time not too long ago when she was able to say that so easily. Unfortunately, every time the idea of them dating was brought up, Wakana would always strongly deny it.
She starts to go over the different scenarios that could happen if she confessed to him. She starts to cry when she imagines that he would start avoiding her and make excuses not to hang out. He had already ran away her in the past, so it wasn't unthinkable that he'd do it again.
Meanwhile, Wakana is on a videocall with Shinju and Suzuka who are anxious to hear his thoughts on Coffin. He gives his first reaction, which amuses the two who think that his thoughts were refreshing.
After Wakana shares his reaction to the game, they talk about the makeup Shinju needs to do for her character. Suzuka then updates them on Akira's progress on the props. Wakana is eager to help out so he plans on asking Akira to come over to his place so they can work on them together. Suzuka then asks Shinju to tell Sajuna that they were going location searching next weekend.
In her room, Sajuna is working on Shinju's wig for her Mira cosplay. Shinju peeks inside her sister's room and tells her about the plan to go location scouting. Sajuna tells her younger sister that she will be going shopping with Marin, so she won't be able to join them.
Shinju notices Sajuna working on her wig, which surprises her. Sajuna tells her that she went ahead to style it for her because she knew that Shinju was setting things up with Suzuka and the others. Shinju thanks her older sister and asks to stay so she can watch Sajuna fix her wig. Sajuna feigns annoyance but lets her stay anyway.
