This is the third chapter of the tenth volume and the seventy-fourth chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Wakana and Marin are at Marin's house. They setup in the living room where Wakana will be playing the Coffin game. Marin's worried that that Wakana's grandfather might get worried about him if he stayed out too late. He responds that Kaoru is staying with Miori over the weekend. Marin gets excited because this meant that Wakana could stay out late.
Wakana starts playing Coffin and is introduced to the different characters of the game. He even sees the dining scene that Marin and the other cosplayers plan on recreating. Meanwhile, Marin decides to try on the nun costume she bought. Wakana thinks it's fantastic, especially since it comes with small props.
Wakana sees the time and says that he should be leaving. Marin tries to get him to stay a while longer, but he says he needs to leave since the trains have stopped due to an accident. Marin assesses the situation and suggests that Wakana stay for the night instead. However, Wakana isn't open to the idea because he thinks that it's inappropriate for the two of them to spend the night together without supervision. He gives Marin a few excuses as to why he can't stay, but Marin reasons with him saying that it's impossible to know when the trains will start running again and that walking home is out of the question.
Wakana understands that what Marin is saying is reasonable, so he reluctantly accepts the suggestion. They set out to buy Wakana some change of clothes and whatever else he needs. Marin excuses herself to dress warmly before they leave. In the meantime, Wakana overthinks and gets his heart racing at the thought of being alone with her.
At the store, they buy some of Wakana's needs and some breakfast for tomorrow morning. Wakana passes by the energy drinks shelf and sees the exact energy drink that Liz gave Kaname to drink in the SuccuProb manga. He realizes that the drink will keep him awake, so he buys some so that he won't be sleeping while he's staying at Marin's. In his mind, if he doesn't sleep, then it won't be called a "sleepover."
While Marin is thinking of what to buy for breakfast, she begins to imagine what it would be like to be living with Wakana. She finds him crouched down next to the energy drinks section. She asks if he got what he needed, but when she looks at what he's got his eyes on, she sees an assortment of sex energy drinks. She asks if he's buying some and, without any hesitation, Wakana answers that he is because he doesn't plan on sleeping tonight.
As Wakana is going to the register to pay for his stuff, Marin is in disbelief that Wakana would buy the sex energy drinks. She starts imagining the lewd things that might happen between them. She's nervous and yet also pumped at the sudden turn of events. She wonders if tonight was the night when things between them would change.
