This is the seventh and final chapter of the first volume and the seventh chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Marin and Wakana leave a ramen shop after having dinner together. An adult listens in on their conversation while reminising about her teen years. Wakana and Marin talk about the video game which stuns the woman. The other people look on terrified that the future is in thier hands.
Marin thinks about where to show it off whether it be events or at home. She explains it to Wakana and how people post themselves cosplaying on the internet. They look at a woman with a detailed prop. Marin eventually shows off a cosplayer she's into named Juju. Marin geeks out over one photo of Juju cosplaying as Shion Nikaido pre-transformation from Flower Princess Blaze. Marin goes over some more photos but then notices that Wakana is quiet.
When she asks about it, Wakana mentions how he first got into hina dolls from watching them at his grandfather's shop. He understood the word beautiful at that moment and he doesn't say it unless it truely comes from the heart. Marin notes how hina dolls are all super gorgeous and Wakana panics. Marin doesn't mind though as it's okay not to compromise.
Marin buys a wrapped rice ball and notes that she'll have to work harder to earn more money. Wakana offers to pay for the ramen but Marin says no. She's happier that Wakana played the game she recommended and appreciates him. She almost gets an indirect kiss with him using the rice ball but soon asks if Wakana thinks she eats a lot. Wakana's face drops and he lies to her face. She promises she won't get fat from eating like that.
When Wakana asks when the cosplay event is, Marin mentions that it's in two weeks. She hurries to catch the train home leaving Wakana. Wakana begins to panic that Marin's outfit needs to be finished in two weeks.

- Wakana reveals that he doesn't use the word "pretty" or "beautiful" lightly and that he reserves the compliment for only the things he truly finds beautiful.
