This is the second chapter of the ninth volume and the sixty-fifth chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Marin shares to her friends that she had gained some weight. Her friends tell her that they think she had already gotten fatter when they were at the beach together but didn't really notice until it now. The shapewear she wore when she was cosplaying as Rei Kogami also hid the fact that she gained weight because it was pushing her fat into shape. After hearing everyone tell her that she put on some pounds, Marin tries to figure out why since she thinks that she's been eating healthy.
Later that night, Marin goes to the Gojo's for dinner. Before she leaves, Wakana packs her some leftovers she can eat for breakfast the following day. While she's walking home, she smells the food Wakana packed for her and decides to eat them once she gets home. She suddenly realizes why she's been gaining weight.
The following day, she shares to Wakana what everyone has been telling her about her weight. She's worried that he would get mad because she can't fit into any of the clothes that he made for her. However, Wakana just suggests that they resize them and that her gaining weight wasn't a big deal since clothing sizes change all the time. Marin assures him that there's no need to resize the costumes because she plans on losing the weight she gained, but that she'll have to stop cosplaying in the meantime.
Wakana wonders how Marin is gaining weight when she's been eating fish all the time when she visits for dinner. Marin nervously tries to tell him that the problem isn't what she's been eating at the Gojo's but what she's been eating at home. Wakana guesses that Marin has been eating the food he makes for her breakfast immediately when she gets home and gives her a disapproving look.
