This is the first chapter of the ninth volume and the sixty-fourth chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Marin is having her hair treated in the AIRS salon. She tells Manabu, Hikaru, and Riho about Wakana and the wrap party their class just had. She shows them a photo of the doll Wakana won for her and the picture Wakana took with some of the boys of Class 1-5.
While they are chatting, Manabu notices that Marin has gained a bit of weight. Hikaru overreacts and scolds her for not watching her body. Marin tells them that while she agrees that she might have gained a little weight, she doesn't mind. Manabu apologizes for blurting it out and changes the subject. He asks Marin to bring Wakana to the salon so he can make him hotter.
Later, while Marin is at her modelling job, she also tells her work friends about Wakana and the wrap party. After a brief conversation about Rana, another model, finding a boyfriend, the editor suddenly tells Marin that she got fat. She observes that Marin's body contours have changed. She tells Marin that summer clothes shoots were about to start and those show a lot more skin, so she implies that Marin should lose some weight.
As Marin is walking home, she isn't too worried about fitting into clothes for the summer shoot. However, she makes a realization and hurries home. She starts trying on her cosplay costumes starting with the Shizuku Kuroe costume. She finds that the dress is a little bit tighter. She tries on the Black Lobelia corset and also finds that tighter. When she tries on the Veronica costume, she is happy that it wasn't tight, and actually thinks that she was just imagining things. However, when she looks down, she finds her tummy slightly sticking out of her costume.
