This is the fifth chapter of the first volume and the fifth chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Wakana wakes up from a neurotic dream involving Marin cosplaying. He's so overwhelmed that he soaked his futon. He arrives at school flustered and wondering how he'll talk to Marin. He then notices Marin saying hello to everyone while walking down the hall. Wakana tries to walk away but Marin spots him and catches up with him. She draws attention to the curled ends of her hair while Wakana is still embarrassed about the wet dream.
Nowa catches up with Marin and introduces herself to Wakana. Daia and Rune join the conversation and Wakana feels overwhelmed. Marin's friends ask if Wakana is overwhelmed but Marin says he's fine while holding him tightly. Wakana agrees quickly. Marin and her friends leave to get snacks before first period. Wakana notes that she's acting the same as she did before. He then overhears some students mentioning that he may be going out with her.
Marin tries to ask Wakana to go with her after school but Wakana leaves her. Marin tries to talk to him all day but he avoids her. She eventually catches him before he's about to head for home. She mentions that she wants to go shopping with him for the outfit. Wakana refuses and runs off. He hides behind a street corner. He's unhappy about abandoning her and ends up apologizing out loud. Marin mentions that he should stop running from behind him which startles him. She asks if he has a problem and that he should spill it out. He mentions how people may think they're going to know each other and Marin mentions that they're friends. Wakana counters by saying that people may think they're going out. Marin teases him by saying that they should go out. Wakana panics as Marin pulls him down the street to the shopping center.
