This is the seventh chapter of the fifth volume and the thirty-eighth chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
At the summer festival, Wakana waits around in his new jinbei for Marin. She eventually finds him and shows off her yukata. She notes Wakana is flustered and tries to tease him. When Wakana doesn't answer, Marin freaks out and decides to drop neck bombs. Kitagawa goes to every food stall and gets a ton of food. At seven, they head to the fireworks plaza. Gojo mentions that this is his first time going to see the fireworks.
As the fireworks go off, Wakana mentions on how he missed the fireworks every year but notes that this year is different. The two of them gaze at each other but the moment is broken when Marin reveals her blue tongue from the blue hawaii she was eating.
After the fireworks, Marin's feet get sore from wearing the sandals. Wakana offers to get her some bandages but Marin doesn't want him to walk a long way. She gets up on his back and she exclaims how high she is. She mentions how she liked the event but the bruises made it a meh experience. She promises to be careful next year and Wakana gets hopeful. As they walk off, Marin hopes to visit all the festivals in the Kanto region next year.
