This is the one-hundred first chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Sunoo, an editor, calls Shougo to tell him about the viral Haniel cosplay at the Winter Comiket. Shougo has been a long-time Mandate of Heaven fan, and has even conducted an interview with its author, Tokio Shiba.
When Shougo sees the Haniel cosplay, he gets excited, mistakenly thinking that a Mandate live-action adaptation was in the works. However, Sunoo corrects him and informs him that it's from an unknown cosplayer who made Mandate of Heaven and Haniel trend the whole afternoon. The two admire the quality and beauty of the costume, as well as the cosplayer's depiction of Haniel.
Sunoo had already tried tracking the cosplayer down, with only the name "Princess" to go by. However, none of the known cosplayers or those with "Princess" on their names had announced that they would be going as Haniel at the event.
Shougo recalls the interview he did with Tokio and how the author hated the adaptation of his work because the production team could not capture the emotions and intent of his characters. However, as Shougo looks at Marin's cosplay, he again commends how she is able to capture Haniel's one-sided love with the devil.
With this in mind, Shougo calls Tokio, informing him that he sent him a URL of an article about the viral Haniel cosplay at the Winter Comiket. Shougo remarks that if people are able to create something like this, they might as well retire. However, Tokio scoffs, saying that he drew Haniel to make others kneel, so he shouldn't be expected to kneel before his own creation.
As they hang up, Tokio stares at the photo of the Haniel cosplay and is captivated. He then retweets the link Shougo sent him with the caption, "Well done." The tweet immediately goes viral, with fans getting hyped at the fact that the Haniel cosplay received the author's approval.
Meanwhile, at home, Wakana is in bed seemingly miserable.
