This is the third chapter of the second volume and the tenth chapter overall of the My Dress-Up Darling manga series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda.
Summary[]
Marin drops her bag in shock when she sees that the outfit is done. Wakana is relieved he got it done before the event but Marin is surprised at this. According to her there are lots of cosplay events if one would look hard enough and she was going to wait until Wakana was done. Wakana collapses as Marin apologizes about not being clear.
Wakana is relieved because he rushed through it in some places. Marin breaks down crying because Wakana got exhausted because of her. Wakana also apologizes for not letting her know what he was doing as it was the reason they traded numbers in the first place. Wakana then encourages her to try it on and work on any last-minute fixes. Marin doesn't want to because he's tired but Wakana says he won't rest until he sees her in it. Marin cries tears of joy.
After blowing her nose and drying her eyes, Wakana helps Marin tie back her hair. As they're looking over how to apply the makeup, they look on a video on how to shape the eyelid. Wakana brings out some eyelashes to help with the droopy-eyed look. She asks if the lashes are his girlfriend's but Wakana says that some Hina dolls have eyelashes so he shows her several. Wakana talks about how his grandfather can tell who made the doll from the way thier eyes are drawn. Wakana hopes to make such a doll in the future and Marin encourages him. He thanks Marin for the complement and has a nice smile which Marin notices. Wakana asks about the eyebrows and Marin gets rid of hers. Marin changes with Wakana outside the room and eventually she tells him that he can come back in.
